Permits for School year 2023 - 2024

Processing New Permit Requests

Next school year permits will be processed as follows:

  • 1st Priority to Internal School permits
  • 2nd Priority to Reciprocal Groups until August 18th
  • General Public permits will be processed after September 5th

All permits entered after August 18th by Reciprocal or General Public will be processed first come, first served.

School Administration does not return back to their school locations until the last week of August, therefore permits may not be approved until the first week of September.

During the school year, the school administration has the authority to cancel approved permits/bookings if the facility is required for school functions.

Historical booking of space is not recognized on an annual basis.

Important! Weather Cancellations

All use of school bookings shall be cancelled when schools are closed due to inclement weather or any other causes beyond the control of Avon Maitland District School Board. If a school is closed during the day, it will not be open for permits that evening.

You will be advised electronically of the permit cancellation. If the schools are open during the day but the weather is questionable, please notify the CUS Rentals Department if you are planning to cancel your rental as soon as possible.

If you need to cancel a weekend permit due to weather, the same procedure will apply, please notify the CUS Rentals Department as soon as possible.

Rates and Classification

Please refer to Appendix A of Administrative Procedure 550 (Use of Facilities) to see what “Group” your organization is classified in and Appendix B for the schedule of fees.
